As human beings, the values of generosity, sharing and support must be the priorities of our lives. The whole Buddhist approach aims at realizing an inner work in order to develop the virtuous qualities, those thoughts and actions related to kindness, compassion, altruism, and thus to learn to eliminate little by little, step by step, all the non-virtuous qualities that are the actions and thoughts stemming from anger, egoism, self-cherishing, etc....
When Slava contacted me to ask for help, instead of setting up a donation-action on a donation platform as it is usual, I proposed him to relaunch his online courses by creating an exchange, a way of "giving and receiving" by helping him to gather some people on a cycle of 3 online courses, on the basis of a payment through a donation.
Bouncing back, even in the midst of bombs and chaos
Komakha Vyacheslav is Ukrainian, living in Kiev. His students call him Slava. He founded FlexDerekSchool in 2009 and successfully conducts online and face-to-face training. Unfortunately, the war changed everything, forcing Ukrainian citizens to defend their state and their loved ones. At the end of February, Slava and his family had to leave their city and are currently in Western Ukraine where Slava is volunteering to help his fellow citizens, living off his savings. However, this was not going to last forever so he really wanted to get back to the online courses as soon as possible to support his family (his son is in need of medical treatment), and to let the world know that the Ukrainian people are still standing up and fighting for victory.
Letting go to develop the flexibility of the body
The FlexDerekSchool is known all over the world thanks to the particular method developed through the method of the most flexible person on the planet according to the Guinness Book of Records. It consists of stretching and strength exercises. There is no need for any sports equipment or stimulator. Through these classes, students have always developed great flexibility and plasticity while developing joint mobility. Through body control, weight loss is also one of the benefits of the practice as well as achieving a high level of stretching.
Who should attend these sessions?
Elderly people with a lack of body flexibility can increase their strength.
This technique also allows for recovery from various types of injuries - major or minor.
The basic principle of the training is to work with a relaxed body.
It is a symbiosis between yoga, stretching and pilates, all three intertwined.
Yoga teachers also benefit a lot from this teaching
The program of this teaching was as follows:
Day 1: Theory of the methodology and some introductory exercises.
Day 2: Rehearsal of the basic principles of the theory and then practical part - warm-up.
Day 3: Implementation of the basic exercises of the method.
One hour per day, for 3 days in a row. The payment was made in the form of a donation, or conscious price. A conscious price allows us to practice generosity when we can, and thus to allow other less fortunate people to benefit from the teaching, but in this case, I really invite you to think about it as a help to a family that is currently going through some of the most painful moments that there is and that none of us wants for ourselves.
Remember that in Buddhism we do not wish suffering for ourselves, so we do not wish it for others.
Let us remember that we wish to be happy, so we wish happiness to others.
How to participate?
It is now too late to participate, however, you can contact Slava directly for classes by following this link: https://flexderek.com/stretchingonline/?lang=en
